You have to drive for 40mins and do 2 manoeuveres and answer 2 basic maintenance questions.
To pass you need <15 minor faults and no major faults, in other words just drive smoothly for 40mins and don't f--- up.

Thing is it's so strict these days you can get failed for so many little things. A cr@p driver could have a good day and pass 1st time, then go and buy a car and crash it.

Whereas a very safe driver could make little faults or be unlucky and have to resit again and again, even though they are well up to standards.

Driving tests put a lot of stress and pressure on you (eg you don't want to dissapoint your family etc) so the test tests you on driving under pressure, so you could prob drive much better in real life.

(I passed 1st time).

Well when I took my driving test, way back when we all drove dinosaurs the test was a written test and a driving test, if you failed on either to had to come back and retest. I sailed through the first time, my dinosaur was having a good day!!!!! :)
