Sometimes it depend on what they drink. The ammonia and pH in the urine causes it to smell. Typically your urine should not have a strong odor, if you know someone that does have foul smelling urine they may have a urinary tract infection. In this case they need to go to the doctor for antibiotics and increase their water intake.

it all determines what a people eat and drink, its the proteins and chemicals in foods, like asparagus its usually makes the urine smell bad

its just not men it what is in your diet the more greens you eat the stronger the smell can be as they say girls are made of suger and spice maybe thats why girls dont have strong smell

sometimes if they drink to much caffine during the day it can change the smell. The same goes for woman too!
