On 6/28/06, I bought Canon camera from Dell. I returned it a week later for another cam at Bestbuy. They took about a month, but claimed they Paypalled my account. Thing is, money is not in my Paypal, but Dell swears it is. Here I am 3 months later and having gone through 10 different Indian Dell reps and countless departments, still short $313.11. They see one thing and my Paypal balance says another. What should I do? I've already opened up a case w/ the BBB. Thanks in advance.

The "Indian" comment was solely meant to indicate overseas call center runaround, not to disparage any race/culture.

I would suggest you file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. FTC works to eliminate unfair or deceptive marketplace practices. Site includes areas of FTC involvement plus a complaint form for consumers.. You may also want to visit the other sites that I have listed below.. Good Luck..

Attorney general in your state - it's a consumer complaint. In my state they have attorneys on staff who investigate the matter in your case contacting Dell. That usually gets me the desired result because they can't ignore the attorney general. You may have to contact the Atty General where Dell is headquartered. It infuriates me that they use people in India for American products.

can you get a report of your paypall activity... send/fax it to dell.
to prove they did not refund your money. can you request your refund by check... try that. overseas call centers suck.
