There seems to be so much hatred in some of the Q&Es in this forum.
Surely there are better ways to solve the world's problems.

The things I hate are stupidity, bigotry, and cruelty, never people.

No. illiria, that's not correct. People can change if they want to, and many of them do these things out if ignorance.
Hate the deed, not the doer.

Thanks for the compliment, Ashley. I'm glad I haven't lost the values I had in the sixties. Isn't peace and love better than war and hate?

I completely agree! I've asked this question a couple of times.
I'm sure if at least two people could find common ground on anything, that should be the focus, not on what we don't agree on.

*sigh*

People on this site find it much easier to hate and call names than make a reasoned argument. Simple, lazy and counter-productive. Most seem to be only concerned with espousing their own beliefs and not taking the time to consider that they may be wrong. Nor consider any view-point that may conflict with their narrow perception of reality. Sad but true. I don't hate anyone here. I am often times disgusted and frustrated that humans can react so stupidly.

The hate has always been there, as with the bigotry, cruelty, etc, but the problem with it being here, is that no one who can make a difference is listening here. Even when it comes to important issues, they're lost on uncaring or powerless ears.

Having political and religious leaders who stir up hate doesn't help matters. The hateful followers do not realize they are being manipulated into a bigger war that will affect them personally in the form of a draft, high taxes to fund the military, and a wartime economy of guns, but no butter.

It's funny. Stupidity, bigotry and cruelty are human qualities.

Some people only understand thier way if thinking and hate anything else. If you try to get them to even consider another viewpoint they close up and get even more defensive. Many questions that are asked here are obviosly only looking for one answer, if you don;t share in thier hatred thaey create even more hateful questions and answers. Pathetic really...

Hate is the other side of the coin from Love. People feel compelled to express emotion, but those that don't know how to Love can only express hate. They just don't know how to be any other way.

Just be an example on how to love and the world (full of followers) will come around.

Yes but it is THE PEOPLE that display the bigotry, hatred, and cruelty. So if they are displaying the qualities you hate then you hate their qualities so indirectly you are hating them.
