I was on my way to pick up my boyfriend from work, driving my usual way. I came to the last light, it was green, i made a right hand turn onto the road. I was going about 15 mph. As i turned all i saw was a car half on and half off the road. I slowed and went around, as i was about to completely clear the vehical, the woman slamed right into me causing me to do a 180. i pulled my car to the side of the road and we waited for the police. as soon as they arrived the woman jumped out of her car and started going on about how i was hauling around the curve, which was a complete lie, my point how could she see me come hauling around the curve, yet she couldnt see me when she hit me and didnt stop, just kept going. My car is wrecked, and her car had a scracth on the bumper. The cop gave me a warning for improper passing to shut the woman up, yet she made a u turn into me? Just curious

Sounds like it was her fault. Unfortunately, the police officer issued you a warning, so the chances of you being able to prove your case are slim. If you take her to small claims court it'll turn into a she-said-she-said, and if they call the police officer in and the judge finds out you were issued a warning, chances are you'll lose. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I've played this game several times before...

I agree with you, and in your situation, I would have told the police exactly what happened. And I wouldnt' have taken no for an answer. At least you only got a warning, but I'm sure you are worried about what it will do to your insurance. Tell your insurance company exactly what happened (since the lady actually hit you, not the other way around) and just see where you can go from there. Good luck, and sorry to hear about your car, that sucks!

you should have payed better attention to the car you were passing as you never know what the other person is thinking, as for the other driver she too should have been giving a ticket for being stupid and trying to make a uturn in a bad area

you will always be at fault if you're young. I got in a wreck when I was 16 clearly not at fault and got a ticket. appeal it with your parents if you're under 18. if you're over go to the clerks office and tell them you want a court date for the ticket.

Sounds like she passed you on the right which, where I live, is illegal. I'm sorry. I hate it for you.
