Dry foods float on the top of pond/tank and make the fish go to the top and when trying to get the fish food they gulp in air at the same time. For some fish this can cause swim bladder disorder. So a good tip is due, soak the fish food for at least 1 min then give it to the fish. This will cause the fish food to sink to the bottom and no air in the fish's stomach.Pellets can be bad if not soaked. Fish may have difficulties digesting the pellets. I don't really understand what you mean by "dry fish food". The flakes you feed Goldfish are dry flakes.

People will argue back and forth on this, but the only danger I see it. Is if you over feed. In which case the food will tend to swell up inside the fish, and cause bloating.

Nothing, unless you dumped too much in the tank. If so, do a large (50%) water change now and again in three days with a gravel vacuum. Don't feed your fish for two days.

none as long as it is made for goldfish and it hasn't gone bad. It will go bad, pretty quickly too.
