His suit doesn't because it is within his "aura" as was explained in one of the shows but only because it was skin tight, but his aura won't cover his cape. So why doesn't his cape get damaged?

From the comic books, his suit and cape were made from Kryptonian materials that also gained super powers when they came to Earth. They're invulnerable, and also stretch to fit. LOL.

Based on the original comic book: Superman's entire outfit (cape, tights, etc) was made from the blanket he was wrapped in when sent to Earth; therefore, has the same properties he does, i.e., impervious to harm.

The Cape became a thank you to make him stick out as Superman. Supes has self assurance matters so he desires to place enormous pink S symbols on all his stuff. he's the Donald Trump of Comics

Superman's cape is the Kryptonian. Actually it was suppose to be the blanket his parents wrapped him in before the sent him to earth.

His cape is made from his baby blanket his mother wrapped him in for the trip to Earth. It is impervious to any kind of damage and acts as a protective cloth for his flesh.

When Superman fought Doomsday his suit was all torn to H E double hockey sticks....so was he.

because it is made from the same super material as his tight suite.
like the incredibles, there cloths also wouldn't tear or burn.

I guess it's the same manufacturer of Superhero Cloths
