These days, everything you do is racist if you're "white"

I agree it all depends on the context...I'm a black woman in a relationship with a white man and he does the most hilarious (not in a blackface way) impersonations of a young urban black male since he's been around so many when he was younger...again it all depends on where u're coming from with your impressions...just be sure to feel out the crowd you do them for before launching into your best "Apu" or J.J. from Good Times....

No, if you are only doing it for fun, like in a comedy club or something like that. Comic do it all the time. I would enjoy hearing you make impressions of black people as long as you don't mean it in a harmful or hateful way.

I used to have some Arab friends from Israel i worked with at a club and one of my fellow caucasians and i slapped together a song called "Palestinian Blues". He did most of it. It had silly lines like "Someone stole the stereo out of camel" and "think i'm gonna go out and kill me some Jews i got those Palestinian Blues". We'd sing it in accents and all even had a Jewish guy named Eli join in. There's a great deal of silliness in stereotypes.

They loved it. Great sense of humor those guys. Very laid back. Hard drinkers.

No. It's mocking, but we do that to everybody anyway. But lets face the real truth - everybody is racist to some extent, or they are liars to the full extent.

It should not be if you are not doing it in a disrespectful way as to intentionaly offend someone.. I see it on TV most every day and being white it doesn't offend me but I am not that sensitive

If you yourself are not racist, and are not intending to hurt someone elses feelings intentionally then no it is not racist. Almost all our comedians do this.

I think it depends who you are talking to... the tone in which you do it with.

I don't think so as long as everyone knows that it's in a joking way. You see stand up comics do it all the time.
