When I try to access the 2nd hard drive on the computer it says it is not formated an it wont let me access the contents, this is the second time this has happened. How can i stop this from happening, is there a virus on the computer?

its not any virus its just becoz the hard drive ur conecting again and again might have got lose straps so dont worry its nothing big remove it with ur system off. from mother board and reseat it. if this dosent hlpz try changing u r cable {strap} might have gone bad. hope fully it works rest is in HIS hands!!!^

Have never heard that problem before but it sound like your 2nd hard drive is failing. Go and restart your computer then boot on motherboard by pressing Del or F2 while it loading. Go to the details of your Primary and Secondary harddrive. Please note that secondary are called Slave. Please e-mail me the status then maybe I can assist you more. If it say Auto and Unknown then your likely have to replace the harddrive. I'm sorry but it happen!

unplug it, turn on comp again, shut it down, re plug it in
