Dear Greenrainbowqueer,
Of course it's okay. But that's basically the big question isn't it? Other people are often not so accepting and dissing T people seems to be a way for many insensitive nitwits to make themselves feel better. Other people make comments simply because they are ignorant and don't even realize how negative they are.
A transition is not something you should take lightly, a full transition takes several years and a lot of money.
The following is a link to a page that tells you about successful T women.
http://ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conway/TSsuccesses/TSsuccesses.html
If you can it is better to start with the transition while you are still young.
The hormone treatment in particular is more effective when you are younger and an early start also reduces your exposure to testosterone.
The first step really is to start talking to other T people and to find yourself a counsellor who can help you assess your T feelings.
Good luck
Augusta

Yes honey, it is OK.
Don't let rotten hearted and ignorent people confuse you.
Gender is a complex thing, and our society tries to simplify it into black and white, male and female with tight roles. You are going to hear allot of people trying to pressure you with 'prayers' and quotes from the bible, from their own fears, and from their opwn perspectives on the limitation this socitey puts on gender, and physical outward gender.
Look up Berdache on the net- and read about the other cultures of the world that recognise that some of us are not 'OK' in the body/ social role we are born with, and then grin because we do have the technology to change the outside of the body to match the inside, something that several generations back was not possible.
Keep in your heart a vision of your true self, strong, proud and free of ignorence. Read, think and create a life that can allow you to choose to move as far and as fast or slow into whatever gender is the right one for you.
Look on Amazon for 'Gender Outlaw'- it's a cool book by one of us that describes the many facets of gender, and allows that there are more than 'male' 'female' 'butch' 'femme' 'straight' 'gay' polarities.
As there are all colors of a rainbow, gender is not black and white, it is all colors as well.
You true friends will still be your true friends, and the most important part- your true self and true face will shine on the outside.
Peace

of course it's ok. Just go with your feelings and pay no attention to what other people say just do what makes you happy. I did and now soon everyone is going to have to accept me for who i really am. thanks to my new favorite website warp my mind dot com. I'm using hypnosis to help change my body, but anyhow regardless there is nothing wrong with being a transsexual.

Only you can decide that! I'm pre-op and will probably never get the surgery. I enjoy being as I am, a full time femme!
Good luck.

no it's not o.k - it's really sad that guys want to change their sexuality. stay the way you're because it's the way you are!!!. You see if the technology we have today were not available or discovered there were no transsuxuals - The point is "men" has created ways to change the natural thing.. my recommendation to you is think about it twice - meditate in your life.... God bless you

honey, that question is not for anyone but you to answer... that's like me asking if it's okay for me to be a diabetic. God bless you, and good luck with your journey of self-discovery.
