I know a guy who just had a car accident, he was going across a street and got side swipe but because he had a stop sign, they called him at fault, with that, he has a running but busted up frount which he can't even open the hood and has one headlight. My question is simply this, he only has a couple of choices:
1.Try to take it to the body shop and get it driveable and safe.
2.Scape the car and buy some cheap car to just get him around.
3.Other.

I would go with number 1. Try and take it to the body shop and get it drivable and more safer.

get replacement parts at anyplace possible like a junkyard. . . supplied all my own parts for my 82 corolla when it was in an accident a month ago.
