Sounds like your memory card is faulty.
Try reading your card in your girlfriends phone, and if it doesn't read it then your card is faulty, for sure.

I had a matching situation whilst i offered a 2GB card and it would not get carry of direct to my laptop. I had to apply the cable that got here with my digital camera and function the cardboard in the digital camera and then get carry of via employing the USB cable. My pc did not have adequate reminiscence in the cardboard reader to do it direct. do not provide up! desire this works!

perhaps your card is damaged slightly so that the pc cannot detect it whereas the phone can still access it.
