How do you take care young Bermuda sod?

I am about to move into a home that has appox. .5 acers of bermuda sod. I am looking for tips on the best and most economic ways to keep the grass healthy through this coming winter and beyond.

Get some "Starter" fertilizer at the Home Depot. Apply this and keep the sod wet at all time for two weeks. That should get it going real good!!!
