I'm talking: Frankenstein, Dracula, Werewolf, Mummy...vintage creatures - not Sully. I think I could out-run Frankenstein so he's ruled out. I could load up on anti-vampire stuff to protect me from Dracula. I could throw a fire bomb on the Mummy. Even if the Werewolf only comes out on a full moon - I think he would freak me out the most!

i'd say werewolves because other than when the moon is full, other people don't know about them being monsters per se. they can go about having a normal life as any human would, and then
POW! they're howling at the moon and hunting YOU!

Vlad.....himself Draula

Dracula in Romania
After the death of Nicolae Ceauşescu, a tourist industry sprang up in Transylvania (and, to a lesser extent, in Wallachia). However, Romanians have mixed feelings about linking one of their national heroes and the vampire monster.

Historical places connected to Vlad Ţepeş are publicised under a Dracula theme catering largely, but not entirely, to foreign markets. Bran Castle, which has only a very tangential connection with the historical Vlad Ţepeş, now exaggerates that connection and promotes itself as "Dracula's Castle". [3] A dungeon-themed disco, catering to a mostly Romanian crowd and located in the basement of a former inn immediately adjacent to the Curtea Veche ("Old Court") -- onetime site of Vlad Ţepeş' castle in Bucharest -- calls itself by the English-language name "Impaler". The well-preserved medieval town of Sighişoara, Vlad Ţepeş's birthplace, seriously considered building a Dracula theme park on the edge of town, but in the end it was decided that such a site would cheapen the beauty and history of the medieval city and the plan was blocked. The park was then to have been built close to Bucharest (the capital, which is nowhere near Transylvania) but plans have subsequently been scrapped.

Freddy Kruger from Nightmare On Elm Street. He would get you in your dreams, like you said you can out run Frankenstein, and load up on anti-vampire stuff etc.. But you have to sleep some time!!! and when you did Freddy would be waiting,,,,

IMHO, Cuthulhu. H.P. Lovecraft intently invented the most scary things, using the fear to the unknown and alien as a base. (and judging by the news, we humans do fear the unknown and the different a lot).

It is basically a monster smarter than you, much more powerful, lurking in the unexplored parts of the world we think is ours and utterly inhuman (therefore incomprehensible and merciless).

The name itself is supossed to be a series of noises so that if is a mere approximation.

Lovecracft also invented other horror of the like, Niharlatothep is amongth my favorites.

I think they are all evil, but a Vampire in particular scares me the most. The thought of being converted would really scare me - to become souless would be disaster.
