Why do people, such as S.W.A.T or Seals wear the bulletproof vests where you can see them? Wouldn’t people aim for their head or cr***h?

no because the chest is the largest surface area so easier to hit. If u ever took shooting lessons u would know that they train u to shoot for the chest because its much easier to hit than s/o head. Unless youre a highly trained assasin u wont succeed at head shots

I have often wondered about the same thing, about the head anyway. Never thought about the crotch. Maybe the Cops are hoping they are all real bad shots! Poboy u made me and my Dad laugh--and my Dad's a cop!

Those are worn on the outside because they are too bulky to be worn underneath their clothes. And you give criminals far too much credit in the brain category.

it's not necessarily supposed to be a 'secret' that they are wearing a bullet-proof vest.... more for protection, you know.
besides, even if they WERE hiding it UNDER their clothes, you could probably still tell anyway (they are rather bulky)
