I would swear that my two month old is teething already, but my older one didn't get a tooth in till eight months. What's the norm?

I don't really know the norm. But, my son was 3 months old when he cut his first tooth. Just because you're older child got a tooth at 8 months doesn't mean you're second child can't teethe sooner.

Every baby is different....my daughter is a year old now and not a single tooth in her little mouth. My best friend's daughter had 2 teeth by the time she was 3 months old. So, yours may very well be teething. Good Luck!

Children can be born with teeth. Every child develops at a different rate. It is very possible that your 2-month-old is teething. Look for the typical signs: swollen gums, low grade fever, diarrhea, etc. Give your baby frozen teething rings, frozen damp washcloths, and massage the gums to help them break through. If you are concerned ask your pediatrician, but it is not out of the norm at all!

Guess what, That baby is teething... When my baby was 3 months old he had 4 teeth already. 9 months, he had 10. He was chewing up chicken gizzards by then. The best part about a baby that teeths early is that i had to take him off the bottle at 9 months old cuz he chewed the nipple off the bottle. That was the best part. Sippy cups were great. :)
