i need help with a tattoo of a star?

its just a black outline of a star,i dunno if it has a specific name but i cant find a picture on the internet

Any tattoo artist probably has a star template, or can help you design what you want.

Okaaay.....How many points?

Then go get a pencil, a protractor, and a piece of paper.
Divide 360 by the number of points....like let's say 5...is about 72.
Put the protractor on the paper and make a mark at 0 degrees, 72 degrees, 145 degrees, flip the protactor around to complete the circle and slide it so that the 0 is at the 145 degree mark you just made, mark 72 degrees and 145 degrees. Now get a straight edge and connect the dots.

This can be done with a star of any number of points, it's just how busy do you want the end figure to be? Experiment with connecting the dots in different ways.

There are a few places to look. I would recommend looking at the Audioslave website (a band). One of the musicians has a great star tatoo. Also, look at the Godsmack star (also a band). Lastly, look at the Stone Temple Pilot (a band) cover for their fourth CD. Hope this helps. Rock stars have the best tatoos.
