Oh my. Once again.
Clay is not gay. This is a stupid rumor that has been floating around since American Idol season 2 was over. He's not gay.

Clay was caught in a chat room after a Charlotte, N.C concert, trying to pick up men. He met one on there he really liked and tried to get the guy to come to his hotel room.Since the guy was having a hard time believing that it was really Clay, Clay sent him photos and hooked up his webcam, that way the guy could see that what was taking place was in the present, not recorded. Even still, the ex-military man declined Clay's invitation and instead sold his photos to The National Enquirer. The gossip mag required that he take a polygraph to determine if he was being honest about Clay. He passed. Go to their website to see the photos.

Why should it matter. Enjoy his music. I can never understand why it is so important if people are gay or not. If a straight actor can play gay. Then why can't a gay actor play straight? A singer should be able to sing love songs. Even if the singer is gay. It hasn't stopped Elton John. It shouldn't stop Clay Aiken.

He certainly avoids the topic enough to pretty much answer without answering. Most people would come right out and deny it if it weren't true. Either way, it doesn't change his talent but it would change his status as a role model so I don't blame him for not wanting it to define him.
