More than likely a corrupt driver for your sound card, assuming all are plugged in correctly and speakers are hooked to the right port. Go to device manager see if there is a yellow question mark where your sound and gameport is listed, if there is, go to manufacturers web site and see about downloading a driver.

yep - you probably have a conflict. Have you recently installed new hardware? Like a USB device, or something like that? Open your Control Panel, and then go to System. In System, look at the Device manager. Under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers, you'll probably see a small yellow circle with a "!" in the middle of it over your sound device.

If you click on this one time, then remove it, and then restart your computer, your computer should once again find your sound card - unless the device you installed has the interrupt for the sound card locked up - then you shoudl remove the newly installed device and start over.

Good luck!

It could be like what the guys were saying. The sound card. Or is the volume on mute?? Open up your volume control and see if it is on mute.

Its probably just muted. Go to sound controls and make sure the mute box isn't ticked.
