Well there are a lot of Optical drive manufacturers who make external variants for ALL types of OPTICAL drives. Just make a search into yahoo.com or google.com for external optical drives

Not from the manufacturer - you have to purchase a USB 2 or Firewire based external DVD-ROM separately.
