See what you did there?
A reasonable question about whether the gay community exercise more power than numbers merit (whether or not sexuality is relevant in this), is rendered silly by the use of a homophobic term like back door bandits, and a massive exaggeration - 80% gay?
This sort of stuff just brings out the bigots. Think before you type!

If 80% of the UK was gay then having a high number of gays in the government and media wouldn't be disproportionate, would it?

Not sure if 80% of the UK is gay. You seem to have a very unhealthy interest in the sexuality of people who work in the government or media. I guess you are basing it on personal sexual experience. Perhaps you should join www.gaydar.co.uk - Plenty of like minded guys for you there.. .. I for one am only interested in my own sex life. I couldnt care less if 80% of the cabinet were having sex with animals as long as they do a good job.

Back door bandits?? Grow up and get a life. I'd rather have gays in government than rude, prejudiced people like yourself.

Because being gay is good for your career. If you don't get what you want, you can cry discrimination. Simple.
