They have a new movie coming out where a comedian is voted in as president.

Now I know we already have one in office now... and a poor one at that (Bush).. but wouldn't it be refreshing to have the real thing?

And what better person thatn Robin Williams to do the job.

He would have my vote in a heart beat.

Carlin and Rock...good choices.

But someone like Ronald Reagan?? Give me a break! He slept through most of his term and got as bad as Bush... and his wife ran the country.

And am I a voter? I sure as helll didn't vote for Bush!! I am about to give up on voting since only morons are the only ones to choose from.

Quit putting the rich in office and vote a poor man in that actually knows what life is all about and what THE PEOPLE of this country really need.

Given the choice between Robin Williams and George Bush, I would vote for Williams. I would love to vote for John Stewart, on whom Robin Williams character is based.

Comedians have an effective means of getting straight to the point, but I wonder how effective they would be in the position. While Robin Williams may be in and out of rehab too much, here are some potential alternatives:

Al Franken - will probably run for Senate in MN
Jon Stewart - probably get a ton of support, but likely will never run
Chris Rock - guy should run for something - he is always on point

Sure, I'd back Chris Rock, George Carlin, or Lewis Black for that matter. Yeah I know their just comedians, but they seem to have their fingers on the pulse of this country, I also think their smarter than the professional politicians

Yes.

Could the policies of someone who was merely mentally ill & who tries to make people laugh (on purpose ) really be anything to fear after what we have seen & heard for the last 6 years?

I'd be willing to risk it.

Besides, in "Good Morning Vietnam" he did some serious scenes.

;-)

Not a bad choice ... however, if I'm going to back a comedian for President ... my vote would go to George Carlin. Bumper stickers should be issued!!!

Robin Williams is an actor, and a very fine one at that, so what experience does he have in politics? Mind you, I would think that anyone can do a better job that George dubbya.

I would vote for him. They have a totally different way of looking at things.
Just remember that Ronald Regan was an actor before he became president.

yeah we've had too many people trying to be President, like it is a serious job. I mean instead of deciding whether to go to war why not tell a few jokes about war?

Instead of hunting down criminals and terrorist, why not make fun of them instead?

Instead of deciding whether we continue to use oil, coal, and nuclear, why not joke about living in the dark?

Please tell me you are not eligible to cast a vote.
