Change your spam settings to send them automatically to your trash folder when they arrive. Never open them and ignore it. Once you open it and ask for unsubscribe you have just validated that your e-mail is an active e-mail account and can actually increase the number of spam you get. so ignore it and change your e-mail settings. Mark it as spam and delete it. please don't open it no matter what.

I am an internet media consultant and this is what we tell our customers. Spam cant be 100% avoided it is a fact of e-mail. dont open, mark as spam and delete.

Keep reporting it as spam, as your ISPs filters get adjusted the amount of spam will gradually reduce. Clicking on unsubscribe usually results in more spam as the spammer now knows he has a valid address.

if i get any unwanted spam i leave it on a dish out the back, i think stray dogs or hedgehogs eat it in the night, it also makes a good fishing bait for catching chub.

You could try a free programme like Mailwasher, available free at www.mailwasher.net

I used to have this on my old computer, and would filter my messages before I downloaded them into Outlook Express.

Unfortunately, the free version only worked on ONE email address so not sure if this would help you.

try some software that "plugs-in" to your mail box, i recommend Qurb @ www.qurb.com (i think) if you use webmail (like yahoo) then try adjusting your filter settings, in the "settings" section put it on exclusive or high.

Hope this helped :-)
