gosh i need alot of help i stresseat when i get down or crabby . i need help to get me out of it

one of the best ways is to replace the eating with a behavior that doesn't allow you to eat at the same time...like exercise (its really hard to ride a bike or do aerobics and eat a candy bar for instance).
I know that everyone says "exercise" and if this isn't your cup of tea, try something else that keeps your hands and/or mind busy. Try reading a book (again...hard to hold book, turn pages and eat) or something like knitting etc. I too am a stress eater, and reading was the easiest thing for me....I would get lost in a really good book and that would not only keep me from eating, but as I got into the story, my stress was reduced or at least my attention was redirected.
