meaning behind of dreaming of being chased-(Fears,Loss,and your emotions) Childhood fears,guilt,loss,sexual needs,or emotions are all the things you might run from.If you run,they will pursue you.Imagine turning to meet your pursuers while awake.If possible do not fight it or them.In most dreams we are the one being chased,but if it is otherwise,you need to ask yourself what is it you are anxious to get of find.You can do this by exploring what it is you are pursuing in your dream.Usually we do not find the courage to confront what is chasing us while asleep.but this can alter if you hold to the realisation that there is nothing in your dreams other than your feelings and memories.Real transformation occurs when you face your pursuers.Your goal in escape will help you understand how you hide from your fears.Do you run to some one else,to entertainment,to anaesthesia of alcohol or other drugs?If you learn to meet your own internal worries you gain enormous inner strength.I hope you find what you are running from soon.Best of luck to you.

My dream directory says this;
Been chased in dreams are typically both vivid and frightening making it a relief to wake up, if you have a dream of been chased, it may pay to think about what you afraid of in your waking life, pay attention to who and what was chasing you, whether you were caught and how the dream ended, these details can help you unlock the meaning of this dream, don't forget the 'pursuer' can be part of your own psyche and not just an external person or persons.
Basically what are you running away from, are you worried about something you don't think you are capable of doing, guess only you can answer this to be able to put a stop to it, good luck.

I agree with others who say there is something that you are not dealing with that you should. However, I have a way of dealing with it. I know it sounds stupid and simplistic, but it does actually work once you get the hang of it (well, it does for me anyway).

You're actually half way there already. All you do when you're having a nightmare is say to yourself "this is just a dream, there is nothing here that can hurt me.." then tell yourself to turn around in your dream. Voila! Nightmare over! I've done this a number of times over the years and its always worked.. I usually wake up at this point but return to sleep calm. One time I was being chased by a monster in my dream, when I turned round it changed into a cat, a lot less frightening , don't you think?!

hmmmmmm Lefty Interesting question.

It seems to me that in this dream you are not running away from the pursuer but away from the feeling. The feeling you're running from could be the reality of things being OK and there being nothing to run from in the first place. Hmmm in a way running from the feeling of not having to run away. Because although you know that if you stop the pursuer is fine and wont hurt you, your feet aren't getting the message. so there are also feelings of being out of control of your own functions. hmmmmmmm it may be that your running away from being out of control?

hi, dream analysts believe that your body has to find a way of getting important messages from your unconcious mind via dreams.
running symbolises energy,strength or the force to go through life.
running is a traditional symbol of health and virility in addition to being a means of fleeing potential danger.
have you any stress in your life this can contribute to your dreams or are you tired or ill any of these can cotribute to this dream.
if so slow down the pace a little and take it a little easier in everyday life as your concious mind tells me there is incredible pressure.
remember that a simple change of perception and taking it a little easier can solve the problem. hope that helps

I had a similar dream for several months prior to being admitted to my local psychiatric unit.

I've been here for three years now and I'm glad to say that the dreams have stopped coming now so they should be letting me out soon. Just as soon as I stop hurting myself, that is.

Sometimes dreams are based on actual life scenarios. Is there anything in your life that could be causing you to feel that way? Are there any problems that instead of dealing with you bury?

Your head knows what your heart doesn't yet. Once you face whatever your running from and face it then your heart can let it go and get on with your life. Happier then you are now.

Yeah I've got one, you should take a deep breath, and if you can't stop, then at least try to slow down a bit and if the person taps you, don't panic, but look and you'll see...
