I won't state my position on her, but I'm just hearing her getting slammed on the radio, tv, and Internet. Why don't people like her? Does she have the 'Star Trek' like syndrome where everyone only identifies you with one position, or is just getting trashed like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruse, Paris Hilton, and Mel Gibson becuase they make too much money?

If what she said on her opening minutes on XM radio had been said by some "good white folk", everyone from Jesse Jackson to Al Sharpton to Oprah herself would be screaming and demanding reparations! I found what Gale and Oprah said was offensive, if you take the cues from Jesse and Al, also very racist. It was poorly done, and I would be ashamed to have said what those two said. Hearing that garbage on my XM really offended me, and I do not offend easily. Oprah should apologize, like she demands others to do. She had to do something this stupid to boost her ratings. Very poor taste.

I've never heard of Tom Hanks being trashed. As for Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton, and Mel Gibson, they don't get trashed for making too much money. They get trashed for being nuts.

Oprah ... well, she's just annoying.

I think that a lot of people dislike her because of not just because how much money she has, but how she uses it. She likes to brag about what she does with her money...when it is said that you are suppose to do goodwill for others without recognition. I have heard people discuss her and this is the primary reason I've heard. Also, the fact that she has so many people do things for her because of how much money she has, that she is no longer like a "real" person. She does not even know how to pump gas...she has let the money take over her life.

Because she is the next in line to be taken down by the rich white man. Men don't like powerful women. They took down Martha Stewart. Granted she was guilty but others did a lot worst and just got their hands slapped.
Just wait, they will find away to take her down.

I'll tell you why, because misery loves company. Most people are miserable and hate to see people doing so well. What is the best thing to do? Bring them down, down, down. There is practically nobody else who has a more perfect life than Oprah. Which makes her the perfect target to finally bring down.

she is a person who was in the right place at the right time and she parlayed it all into an empire. if we knew the inner workings, alot more people would inevitably be turned off by the marketing ploy that sustains her. she is the black martha stewart of our time is all. women nurture her and onward and upward she goes.

People are just jealous because obviously she's a billionaire. But let the tables turn....if they had all the money do you think they would be complaining then? Of course not.

because people are haters! It seems that everyone is so concerned about what others do that they do not worry about what is going on in their own lives!
