Got my baby girl on Sept 25, he father wants to name her Tanagra.
Checking to see if it is really a name and how do i pronounce it

I have to say, (though I know this isn't quite the answer you are looking for), don't name your child this name! Not only are you setting her up for a lifetime of mockery, but the fact that you cannot even spell it or pronounce it says that it probably isn't the right name for her. To me, it doesn't even sound like a real name so much as the name of some phony overseas company or something.

Choose a more normal (but not overly common) name, like Violet, May, Victoria, or Sophia.

oh - no it sounds like something from star trek. I can't find anything like that name. Remember unique is good but your child has to live with the teasing and mispronunciations. If you don't lik eit stick to your guns. Choose something you both can agree on. Good Luck
