NOT A RACIST QUESTION! If you have some ignorant answer that calls me a racist, shut up and dont bother answering...Us "other" races have a right to be curious....I have seen many black people wearing t-shirts or cloths over their heads here in the south when they walk around in the sun...seems it would make you so much hotter.....I have ONLY seen black people do this, never Asian, or Hispanic, or white.....What gives?

Because they want to. We like to be different and have our own style. Personally I don't like it, but if that's what they want to do then I don't see why it would bother you

I think that it is good to ask questions, it helps bridge the gap between races. T-Shirt over the head blocks more area from the sun then a hat, that's all. Plus the average black person can tolerate much more heat than other races, so it is probably not as hot as it looks!

Well where I live I have seen many people of all races do that. Especially the people who work outdoors. It works the same way a hat does on a hot day. It blocks direct sunlight which causes less heat. That's why most people in hotter countries where turbans.

Perhaps some men do.

As for women, we don't.

The only time I have a towel on my hair is when I"m finished washing it.

The cotton towel absorb the sweat away from the skin.

Actually, it is a good idea.

I'd rather see a towel on a man's head than for sweat to be running all down his face. That looks nasty.

Same reason I wear a hat. I have worn my t-shirt like that after playing basketball or other sport on a hot day. It's no big deal.

Black people feel heat more, since dark colors attract more heat.
They wear cloth on their heads, not to overheat. It doesn't make it hotter for them at all.

Why don't white people use dew rags? It keeps your sweat from rolling down your head and down your face, hence it is good hygiene.
