How do I download movies from limewire? I can get songs but it will not d/l movies. Help.

Actually, Amanda (the first response) is correct. You simply need to change your search parameters. Search in the video catagory. Some good keywords to start with are DVD, DVDrip, and fullmovie.
The downloads are limited to who is on Limewire at the time AND what movies they have available to download. Sometimes you can get movies in under an hour, sometimes it takes days. I'm currently in day 3 of a download from someone on a modem. The file is at 47% now... However, this movie is extremely rare, and I have been unable to find it on DVD or video tape for several years. For me, this movie is worth the download time.
I would strongly recommend getting a file named KLMCodec155. This will improve your selection. (Sometimes people download movies that they cannot view because they simply do not have the proper codec. The KLMCodec155 will allow you to view virtually every movie you download) After I downloaded and installed the codec, which comes with it's own viewer, Limewire almost doubled my hits.
Another thing you will want to watch out for is that there are a lot of misfiled movies out there. You may think you're downloading "Herbie Fully Loaded" and end up with "Zathura" in Spanish...
You'll get a lot of foreign movies, or movies that are subtitled in another language. That is because many movies we see in the states are actually released to foreign audiences before we see them. You'll also get a lot of "workprints" I had a workprint of "Star Wars Return of the Sith" a week before it was released to theaters here in the states.

I use iTunes because it is legal and the sound files/videos work great. They have movies now aswell. I've never used Limewire and do not plan to. I believe it is being watched by the government and puts loads of crap on your computer until your computer just crashes. Goodluck anyways.

My one and only experience with limewire was horrible. It left all kinds of crap on my computer and it eventually crashed. I have friends who have experienced the exact same thing. I would suggest downloading from a legal site like real player.

if u really want to d/l movies, i suggest u try bit torrent because on limewire movie files are just too big and it would sometimes take almost forever to d/l one. some of the files arent even upload to the limewire network.

You need to search under the video instead of the audio change your search options.
