there's this boy i really like and we've been friends for quite a while. i'm not sure he likes me in the same way. however he does put a kiss at the end of his e-mails and invites me out alone to the cinema. how can i find out if he has a crush on me?

You need to go fishing my dear - think along the lines of matey chat "so are you into anyone at the moment" that kind of thing. If he's asking you out alone it's a good sign. You could always just ask him outright - do you get any vibes from him - maybe a little flirting? Go on - take a chance!
About 6 years ago I was in a similar position with a friend of mine - I've just married him!

The best way for you to find out is to talk to him. Tell him how you feel about him. How will you know if you don't ask? He might feel the same way about you! If all doesn't go well, his loss.
