I have a relative that even growing up she had constipation problems. Now she is 5 months pregnant and it's getting worse. The main reason for the constipation during pregnancy is from the prenatal vitamins. They contain lots of iron and other supliments to help nourish the baby. When we eat too much iron or fiber it can cause constipation.

THE REASON U GET CONSTIPATED IS BECAUSE YOUR INTESTINE, STOMACH AND ALL OTHER ORGANS ARE BEING PUSHED UP DUE TO THE FACT THE BABY IS GROWING IN THE CENTER FORCING ITS WAY IN

SO THATS WHY U SHOULD EAT SOFT THATS EASY TO DIGEST SO THAT U CAN HAVE THEM NORMALLY
NOT HARDCORE FOODS THAT TAKE MORE THAN 2 HOURS TO LEAVE YOUR SYSTEM
.

GOOD LUCK IN STAY DRINKING WATER CONGRATS.

- your body needs more water when you are pregnant
- your intestines are being squished
- the iron in the prenatal vitamins also contribute to constipation, you need the extra iron to make the extra blood needed in pregnancy

Pressure on your intestines makes it harder for you to go. Plus water...you use a lot more water.

My doctor said to drink a lot of water almost a gallon a day.

I'm no health expert, but I'd guess it's because when the uterus grows, it pushes on the large intestine; making it harder for fecal matter to pass through.

I like Sarah Silverman's comment that her "part" was just for decorative purposes - she tells people she was shot.

If you're feeling...backed up...

Eat some fiber-ous foods. That should help you go.

DONT STOP taking the vitamins tho.
