It really depends on where you live and the skill level of the musician teaching you. For example, major metropolitan cities have more competition, so the prices at your garden-variety music shops are lower ($15.00 to $25.00 for half an hour). If you take a guitar course through a community college, the cost would be a lot less but you won't get that one-on-one instruction. At the other end of the spectrum, you can take lessons from a music academy, which usually run for an hour at a time, and they can cost you $50.00 an hour and up.

Depends... I just started learning guitar and a guy at my school is giving me lessons for $13 an hour. How much a lesson costs depends on how expierienced the teacher is, how many other people they teach and their resources. Best of luck!

I pay 20 euros for a 45 minute lesson which means about 14 bucks. And i m not learning guitar but metal lead and rythm guitar techniques, analyze guitarists etc, i mean not a simple guitar lesson

my daughter has lessons and they cost £15 for 1 hour
