It depends on what the facts of your case are. I would suggest contacting your state's bar association (search under Yahoo for "bar association" & Alabama - substituting your state, of course). The state bar association will refer you to several attorneys who focus on whatever area of law is involved, and most offer a free consultation.
Please don't pay attention to the cynics who have responded before. There are some lawyers (myself included) who do a lot of pro bono work because we believe in getting to the truth and the right answer.
