Christians aren't dumb. There is just a minority within that group of people that make so much noise and go around having mouth diarrhea that they look like they speak for the whole cummunity. They dont speak for me. I understand where your frustrations come from though. A for effort!

I am not a fan of religious fanatics, just the opposite. But, you are making a huge mistake in generalizing all Christians in your question. There are many intelligent Christians out there who do not feel a need to harangue people for not being Christian, or homosexual, or think they have a right to hijack our laws and insert religious beliefs.

Fanatical fundies? I do not think they were born dumb, rather they were born to ignorant parents who continue teaching the ignorance. It also seems as though most were never properly secularly educated and many have been surrounded by that garbage their entire lives. Does that amount to brainwashing? Probably, but some do escape to live normal lives.

Christians are not born dumb; many are very intelligent individuals. However; when it comes to discriminating between values or morality and ethics they run into a brickwall. How can a person vote against Gay Marriage; yet support and turn a blind eye to innocent people being tortured; killed, or having corruption at the highest level of government; and continue to support a political party, because they think they have the monopoly on morality?

Although i do believe by about adolescence they know whether or not they might be dumb. statistics show that environment (IE being raised by dumb christian parents) can give cause to life long stupidity. Many "come out" as dumb later in life. At times it being the key factor in divorce. There are many support groups for these dumb people around the globe. They are even known to participate in rallies and marches.

I don't think they are dumb - I think they just normally have very strong views that can be hard for some of us to accept. I respect them and wish them well. Most Christians are very good people, but like everything else a few bad apples spoil the entire bunch. It is sad to think people will turn away from God because of the way his followers treat them.

I feel there just to scared to view anything with an open mind because there afraid to find out they've been lied to. They don't realize how many Christians have opened their eyes and still believe in god. They just don't fall for the hate rhetoric being spewed by evangelists.

I don't believe all Christians are dumb, but I do think some dumb people justify their dumbness in Jesus' name.

Gee whiz, I am a Christian and I have supported gay rights every since my brother came out of the closet. I have gone to rallies to support him, I have been an activist at school. I have talked with teens at my chruch and at school about exceptance and understanding. I'm really hurt that you would say something so awful about me when I have bent over backwards to make your life easier. Thanks a lot for spreading hate on an already bigoted world.
