This is an "odd" question to say the least. How about if you take the ball and make a slight groove all the way around it, then take the string and put it "in" the groove, tie a knot, and you've got yourself a YOYO! Then put the peppermint in your mouth and enjoy your new project!

If I were McGyver, I would tie the string to the peppermint and slip it under the door, and use it to grab the key off the desk. Then I would open the door a crack and throw the ball at the guard to knock him unconscious so that I could escape before the room filled with poisonous gas.

If I were Chuck Norris, I would forget all three and round-house kick my way out.

Eat the peppermint, bounce the ball, and tie the string to your finger to remind yourself to think of better questions..

I would tie the string to the ball and to the tip of the stick and make a kitty toy for my cat!

Well what else besides some kink in the bedroom. K'duh! Tie 'em down, gag them up, torment them further. That or call Maguyver. That dude is the bomb-note when it comes to random items. I once saw him make a CD player out a dildo & chicken wire.
