Governments of these countries ordered to remove most part of monuments to WWII victims. They forbidden Soviet Army celebrate Victory day and name them war criminals. On the other hand they also believe ex-Nazis as veterans and fighters for independence. Only Russia protests against what is going on, none more even Israel. Now these countries are members of EU and NATO. They need to be stopped.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Latvia opposes Russia and the US is still afraid of them and will support anyone who is against them. It is rediculous though well sick more so. My husband is from Russia so I have heard all about this situation.
I just asked my husband and he said that the US anyway wants to keep the former Soviet Union apart at all costs.
I guess they are even trying to force the Russians there to change their names to Latvian or Estonian names and won't allow them to speak Russian.
It is great to think that these countries are putting in bids to join the European Union.

You are crazy!!! Im from Latvia.. believe me we are not trying to change russian names to ours!! Thats ridiculous! Russian government spreads absurd rumors to taint Latvias reputation..
