Your statements are incorrect on their face.
Europe is not catholic -- in *some* countries in europe there is a catholic majority (barely), in others a protestant majority (like England, German, Switzerland, etc.). But really, all of those countries are SECULAR -- like the US, there is no longer any official connection between a church and the state --as it should be. All of those countries have freedom of religion, so people are free to believe what they want (including no beliefs).
Same goes for the US. While currently there is a protestant majority, it's not very large, and there are lots of catholics, buddhists, muslims, atheists, and tons of agnostics. We're not a protestant country, we're a FREE country.

As to the last part of your question...all people of a particular religion fear (and despise) those of other religions. Inherent in any religion is the notion that a particular sect has some TRUTH (which indeed is nothing of the sort) that is different from any other sect or religion. Because other sects or religions do not accept that "truth", fear and hatred of others who do not believe as you do is built in to religion. For the most extreme in any particular sect, that fear and hatred of those they think are wrong often turns to violence. It's been that way for thousands of years, and will never change as long as dogmatic religions continue to claim to have truth and that all other religions are wrong.

Uh, while there are more protestants than Catholics in the U.S. Catholics have been the largest group in the U.S. since the flood of Italian immigrants plus the previous immigration from Ireland.

I'm Hispanic, Catholic and I'm anti-illegal immigration. If you don't obey our laws you don't belong here.

What on earth are you speaking about? Get your information straight away: -the US would not enable similar-sex marriages; merely 2 out of the 50 states (California and Massachusetts) do -maximum ecu international locations don't have what you may evaluate "relatives values," as they are very leftist social democracies like the united kingdom, France, and the Scandinavian international places. Many ecu international locations welcome gay rights, abortion, pornography, and secularism way better than america -John McCain isn't liberal. he's a Republican, and besides the very undeniable truth that i'm no longer grouping all of them at the same time, many times speaking, the Republican social gathering is a real-wing or conservative social gathering. Barack Obama, although, like most of the Democratic social gathering is liberal. next time, do a touch study in the previous you rant and whinge about the shortcoming of life of your "relatives" values of intolerance.
