8*x = $2.64, so x = $2.64/8 = $0.33, where x is the price of an avacado

So to get 5 avacados: 5*$0.33 = y, where y = total price for 5 avacados, so y = $1.65

To verify: $2.64/8 should equal $0.33 (yes it does) and $1.65/0.33 should equal 5 (yes it does).

8 avacados = $2.64

1avacado = $2.64 / 8
1avacado = $0.33/avacado

5 avacados = $0.33/avacados * 5 avacados
5 avacados = $1.64
