You're lucky to at least have one boy (I'm just jealous)! I would only try for a 4th if you want that many kids regardless of what comes out. That being said, look at these web sites for ideas on what you can do to increase your chances of having another boy:

My husband was born between 4 girls, and it wasn't until he was 6 that another boy was born in his family. He definitely wishes he would've had a brother closer to his age to play with when he was growing up. But he also got a lot of alone time with his dad because of being the only boy for a while, so it could've been good for him. I don't know. And my brother didn't have any other brothers and he turned out to be a weanie, I think he would've been more masculine if he had had a brother to play with.

Short of coming up with the money (because Tricare won't go this far) to pay a lab give you sorted test-tube babies and have them implated, you're pretty much stuck with what Nature gives you. I'm a girl, but with no siblings, and anything is better than none.

Seeing as how your son isn't the youngest, your older girl will probably be less prone to dressing him in frills, if that's what you're concerned about. (I also knew a guy who was the youngest of 3 boys and dressed up in skirts just for fun.) If I were you (and I know I'm not), I'd be thrilled that I had 1-2 of each and leave it at that. You could try again using some old wives' tales, but then your son could end up with 3 sisters, not just 2.

You should try and do what is right for your family.

A boy doesn't need a nother boy to grow up happy and healthy. He will have his dad and his sisters, you and his friends.

This is really only something you can talk to your children's father about and look into your heart to see what is right for your family.

Have your daughter and in a few years see what feels right.

as for technique.. sperm is to be said to live longer for a girl and that boy sperm < those with x > are faster. Having sex closer to your volulation can help bring up the chances of having a boy but that is really it. You can't really say what you will have untill it happens..

Congrats btw!

You cant do anything to try for a boy. The sex is determined by the chromosomes from the dads sperm. There is nothing to do to promote the chances of having another boy. You can try to get pregnant again and just hope for a boy but that is about all you can do.

Why don't you just be happy that you're pregnant in the first place!!! Some women have a hard enough time conceiving and you should be happy with whatever gender you create. At least you have children, some people have a difficult time even trying to have one. Sorry touchy subject!!

well, I am a girl with two brothers. I never wanted a sister..lol simply because I was a huge daddy's girl and was spoiled terribly. So I couldnt imagine myself having to share with a sister. But Im not sure if it works the other way around. Congrats on being pregnant!

After having lost 2 babies before having the 2 children i have now ,one with autism (boy) an asthmatic child (girl). I am very blessed. If you love your children, having children & most of all, loving being a mom, then however many children you have is up to you & you significant other. There are never any guarantees on the sex of your baby. just as long as he/she are healthy.

I'd stick with 3 children. Just my opinion.

Don't worry about it. Whatever happens happens. If you like children and/or people what difference does it make what gender your children are?
