I've been on birth control pills for two years (Yasmin to be exact). A week or two before my last period was due, I started getting pms/pregnancy symptoms that have continued to worsen for about a month now (really sore, heavy breast, headaches, bloating, queasiness, congestion, back pain, slight weight gain and crying spells). I've always had normal pms symptoms but never have they continued for this long and been this intense. I did miss a couple of pills (in week one) and I did have unprotected sex a few times. But I got a period (shorter than normal) and I took 3 pregnancy tests (two during the week period was due, and another 7 days after it was due) and all were negative. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced a change like this on birth control pills or if anyone has any insight in general, because its only getting worse. Thanks.

It's possible that you got pregnant when you missed your pills. It happened to me and I also found out that when I'm pregnant with girls my Hcg levels never get high enough for the at home test to be correct. I always had to go for blood test. Your best bet is to make an appointment with your doctor. The sooner the better!

I am having the same problem I am having all the same symptoms and took two tests and they both said negative. I was told to wait about another week or 2 and take another test. Or if you cant wait that long go to the doctor and get a blood test. They are more accurate. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.

Time to change your pill! You obviously are having some hormonal reaction to your current med. I had a similar experience and a change to another pill fixed it. Hope that works for you. Good Luck!

Go to see a Doctor and change your prescription.

You should call your doctor and tell them exactly what you asked us. He/She will know best what to do.
