Living with someone is a lot different than being best friends with them. It's like seeing someone everyday makes you more aware of things they do that get on your nerves....and it always happens. You can see the side of someone you never knew existed!! Roomates with your best friend is a guarantee that you won't be friends much longer....in most cases --- there are exceptions to the rule...but you've got to be mature.... still I don't recommend it if you want to stay best friends!!

There are lots of reasons why you should never be roommates with your best friend in college. It also depends on how you guys really get along without getting on each other's nerve. The good thing about having your best friend as a roommate in college is that you already know someone and you know how they are and their cleaning habits as well.

It really isn't a good idea, and it hardly ever works out. It just adds stress to a friendship, and it is always tight quarters. Nobody is easy to live with all the time, but when you are close with someone that is exactly when you tend to take things out on them a little easier than if it is someone you don't know as well.

Well because there's a big difference between being best friends and only seeing each other a few hours a day and being best friends while seeing each other every single day for hours and hours. Put simply you'll start fighting and your friendship will be ruined.

I think this is an absurd proclaimation. I have been best friends with Anne since her kindergarten year and we are roommates. We get along perfectly well and we do everything together. You do have to have your own time though and like the doing the same things. I think you would have to know your friend very well.

because then you'd see each other 24/7 and get sick of each other. And just because your best friends doesnt mean you live the same way. One could be a freak about keeping the room clean, and the other could care less.

will require a lot of give and take. not a good idea to tell all of
your personal business to your room mate. It might come back
to bite you.
