If you're getting a new motherboard, the Dell part doesn't matter. What matters is the Processor and various cards. (Of which you probably won't have many, since Dell motherboards have everything onboard i'm sure.)

You say you have a P4 3.2. So you go to say, Pricewatch.com and look through motherboards that have the specs you want and see if the processor is compatible.

If you want to swap out a motherboard in your dell you are going to run into a couple problems. The dell cases are non standard and a "white box" OEM motherboard may not fit into your dell case. In addition the dell power supplies are notoriously puny and don't have the guts to hanle the demands of a tweaked system.

If you want to migrate to a new system but reusing the CPU, memory, and hard drive from your Dell then you have more possibilities... read this article. http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/

if your looking to get a new motherboard to fit in the dell case it probably wont work most manufacture cases are exclusive to there parts only. if you are gonna change out of the case or mode it to fit then i would recommend a Intel bord to match the pross. they are stable and well built with alot of on board options. i also like ASUS they make some good board with alot of features but i think most of there stuff is for AMD havent looked into motherboards in a while.
