Manilla Road: Formed in late 70's, they have 13 full-length releases since 1980 and are still active today. Their style is pretty much straight-up heavy metal with a dose of "epicness" and a sort of weirdness added to the riffing. Mark Shelton has a very unique voice and can sing in different styles from high pitched to a lower throaty style in the next line.
To emanmetal911 below me: Overkill is awesome. If you ever get the chance, go to one of their live shows. So much fun.
