x – 5 > 6 or 2 – x > 4
The compound inequality is equivalent to
x > 6- (-5) or 2-4 > x
which in turn is equivalent to
x > 11 or x < -2
solution: (-infinity,-2)U (11,infinity)

I have the solution on a graph line
but am not getting the solution checking besides the usual "plug in"
