i think you must refrain from having sex till she is cured. A tampon dipped in yogurt and inserted into the vagina helps in a faster cure.

Yeast infection does not spread form person to person BUT It might be more uncomfortable for her.
"Yeast infections are not contagious. As a matter of fact, the human body has yeast in or on it all the time. It just isn`t in amounts large enough to cause problems. It is when it has the opportunity, such as a suppressed immune system, or in the case of a vaginal infection, an alteration of the normal vaginal environment, that yeast can cause problems. Treatment of sexual partners has never been found to be necessary in treating a vaginal yeast infection. A yeast infection in male partners is very uncommon, but if diagnosed, is treated with the same antifungal medications used in women."

No, you should wait until she is done with her treatment. The creams used to treat Yeast infections can cause condoms to break down and fail during sex. (Not many people know this) Also, if you are having unprotected sex, it is possible, though not common, for you to get the same yeast based infection in your penis. You should watch closely for symptoms, though at times there are none. If you wait until the infection is done and she gets another very quikly afterwards, you may want to be checked by a doctor yourself.

The first answerer is wrong. If the doctor told her to apply inside AND out, then that's what she needs to do. Some treatments include a plunger-type applicator, like a tampon with medicine inside. The yeast infection affects both the inside of the vagina as well as the outer area....
I think you'l be fine to have sex, except that it may be uncomfortable for her.

I don't think it's a smart idea. You'll probably make her infection worse, and you run the risk of getting a yeast infection on your penis.
Surely you can wait 7 days for something like Monistat to cure the infection.

DO NOT HAVE SEX, A yeast infection is caused by moisture and sperm is wet. You are going to make her feel worse. Don't be selfish and just wait a week till her infection is gone.

OK, you need to wait! This could create a cycle. My Dr. told me that a guy can actually 'carry' the infection with no symptoms and you could actually give it back to her over and over. The best thing to do is wait until it is completely healed!!!!

Your girlfriend needs to apply medication as directed by her doctor and you DEFINITELY need to refrain from intercourse until her infection is gone (7 days). If you do not refrain from intercourse you can get the infection around your scrotum area and it will be horrible for you, not to mention that the friction will cause some serious discomfort for your girlfriend.
