Yes it can. Stopping hormonal birth control can wack your cycle off totally because while on hormonal birth control you aren't ovulating at all (that is, if it's working properly).

First of all, the day 14 thing is a myth that only describes the "average" cycle; as few as 10% of women may actually ovulate on day 14 exactly. In reality, most women ovulate 12-16 days before their period; depending on the length of an individual woman's cycle, this could really be anywhere in the day 10 to day 20 range. Since you're fresh off the pill, you don't know how long your natural cycles are going to be. You could easily have ovulated by day 13; add to that the fact that sperm can survive in yoru reproductive tract for up to 5 days given ideal conditions and you get a pretty decent chance of conceiving from day 13 sex. There's also a chance that you will not ovulate at all in your first cycle off the pill. There's far too many variables to predict whether or not someone will get pregnant on a particular day in her first cycle off the pill. You'll have to wait and see.

Do you mean ovulate earlier in your cycle? Or do you mean ovulate better month to month? Well, either way the answer to both is yes. I know this by experience. I was on birth control right before each of my pregnancies. And you don't necessarily ovulate on a normal 14 day cycle when getting off of birth control, and sometimes it does make you more fertile.

I've been off the pill over almost 4 months. My hubby and I have been trying for a baby ever since I went off. It all depends on the person. Some women can get pregnant right away, but the average couple can take 6 months to a year to conceive. On average it takes about 3+ months for your body to get back on track. Please try not to think about it all the time, I've had constant pregnancy symptoms for the past 4 months and all negative tests. My period is suppose to show earliest tomorrow, so I once again don't know if I am preggers or not. I'll be testing Tuesday if my period doesn't show. Relax and take it easy!! Good luck!!

My OB informed me that women who don't ovulate and are ttc, are sometimes put on birth control pills for one month because you are more likely to ovulate the first month after coming off the pill. Whether you ovulate earlier than normal, I don't know.

yes cause the bc don't let you ovulate. So after you quit then more tan likely you will ovulate at least your next cycle coming up.
