Have you ever given any thought to being part of the solution and not the problem? Do you treat Anglo-monolingual Americans as you would want to be treated? Do you show them the respect that you believe you deserve? Do you turn the other cheek and ask forgiveness from your trespasses as those who trespass against you?
When you start behaving as you wish others would behave then perhaps we would be willing to listen to your point of view in a calm and rationale manner, until then you sound like a fanatical unintelligent imbecile.

On the surface, it appears you have asked a good question.
But where did you get your facts, such as your statement about "most"?
Is there statistical documentation that actually proves that "most Anglo-monolingual Americans are so close minded and limited to communicate & undersatnd other culture"?

It is because English is the business language of the world.
And also the best universities are in the English speaking world. Except that there is one notable top notch engineering school in India.
Most if not all Nobel prizes for scientific achievement are made by English speaking people.
Spanish is fine for social reasons...but for progress and accomplishment...English is the way of the world.

Because we are the soul super power of the world. Other cultures should be learning our culture. Did the Romans bother learning other cultures? Did the Greeks? Egyptians?
