Why does the article say "The State Department poll found that two-thirds of Iraqis in Baghdad favor an immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces"?

Cuz they don't want us there... we knew this from the very beginning, but Cheney and Rumsfeld kept insisting that they were going to receive us with flowers... What a bunch of dolts!

I've been reading about the polls in Iraq which were reportedly conducted by the U.S. state department. My first question is: Why would they do that, how does the state department know who is Sunni and who is Shiite? Did they do a poll.

On the flip side: Why would they do a poll and publish obvious anti - Bush information... Is not the state department part of his administration. And, if the Bush administration did do the poll and release information that was damaging to the war effort, doesn't that sort of diminish the Bush is a liar program?

That is not accurate at all. My brother is in Iraq and the people there love our troops.
Do you really believe they poll everyone in the country?

Bush was losing in the polls all the way up to the last election. Then he won his second term and it wasn't even close. Try not to believe every single thing you read.

Because they're a foreign army trying to impose their values on people who absolutely don't want them.
How would you feel if the Iraqi army landed in the USA and wanted everyone to live like them?
Believe it or not, many civilizations view America to be a crime laden, lazy, decadent and immoral society.

Who wants that for their children?

Loaded poll question with biased pool of respondants equals unmeasurable and inaccurate results. Don't believe everything you read.
