We all want to change the world.

Yes--a revolution of reason, where people grow up and shed all their superstitions, magical thinking, dogmas, and religions. Alas, such a revolution can not occur through force of arms, but only through education. Seeing as how our educational system is the stupid teaching the stupid, I don't have high hopes that this will occur anytime soon. Still, the percentage of freethinkers in society does seem to be growing slowly. There may be hope for us yet....

Yes I do. And I believe that if it is global and non-violent it will actually result in something good. Any local bloody one will just be another link in the endless chain of wars and hate.

As a species we stand on the brink of greatness. Common ordinary people everywhere want to shed the baggage of bad governance, the meddling of the powerful in everyday existence, the abuse of the world's environment by the greedy and short-sighted. I believe the overwhelming majority of humanity has its heart in the right place.

We just need to find a way to light the bulb of reason in the brains of those who are locked into their privilege, selfishness and indifference.

It can happen, but it may not. It's a delicate moment in the world, not at all helped by the fact that we have sufficient arms in this world to create a vast and all consuming war that may result in the general collapse of our civilization.

Pessimistic as my mind feels, my heart nurtures optimism.

I think our government is pretty corrupted...But, I think overall, it's done an okay job at keeping the people of our country more or less...happy.

I have more of a problem with the Bush adminstration than I do with the government. We're all going to be ignorant to somethings whether we choose to be, or not. Sometimes we just don't notice....and overall, my life is pretty good...As selfish as that may sound.

I think a Marxist (sp?) government sounds pretty ideal though...or perhaps even Facists...people look down upon it because Hitler was Facists...but layed out, it sounds pretty good...They're both somewhat like communism, but with traits that will probably keep the society happy.
