attire for this broadway show? is a tee shirt and jeans okay or not?

You can pretty much dress however you want. The dressier the better, but there is no official dress code. When I was in NYC it was too hard to go back to the house we were staying at to change, so I saw shows in jeans and sneakers as well as my nicer corderoy pants and nicer shoes. Whatever I was wearing for the day.
Be aware that most people will be at least semi-dressed up. If you are comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans, surrounded by people in their fine attire, then go for it! The bottom line is, everyone is there to see the show. It's not a fashion show! :)

Wouldn't you like to get dressed up a little, just to feel and look classy. When you go in jeans I hate to tell you, but, when you get there tonight you will feel out of place in a tee shirt, It is a very funny show by the way.

It's bad form to go to a show dressed like you were going to a movie. Dress nice, as if you were going out to dinner, but not too stuffy so that you'd be uncomfortable.

I would go with dressy.Like a black pant and a fancy shirt or a pencil skirt or long skirt....Not jeans its is Broadway!

Isn't that the show where people dress in drag and throw rice at the stage? I heard it was a wild show....

if you see the early show that is fine but if you go to the evening show wear something a bit nicer

some people go casual but I think that should be saved for the matinee's.
dress up a bit. not grammy awards but like you were going to a nice banquet or something like that.

absolutely not. dress appropriately for theater. evening dress and your man wears a tie at least, and should wear a jacket but doesn't have to.
